Corca - El Reces de Corca
Large Catalan village house, constructed in the 14th, 15th and 17th centuries. The earliest part of the building adjoins the last remaining section of the Medieval village wall and near the front entrance there is an archway which was an ancient village gate. Part of a working farm for centuries, El Reces once housed cattle on the ground floor, while the top floor was used for grain storage. Later, the house became an artist's holiday retreat and finally, in 2003, was converted to a guesthouse, renovated with great care to preserve the building's original structure and character.

Peratallada - Hostal Blau
Hostal Blau is an ancient stone house with a Medieval tower, situated just behind the castle in Peratallada. There are 6 uniquely decorated rooms and 2 lounges on the ground floor which invite guests to intimacy and relaxation. A collection of antique pieces displayed throughout the building creates an artistically authentic atmosphere.

Sant Pere Pescador - Can Ceret
Situated in a lovely coastal village, this unique 18th century building has been meticulously restored to create a small rural hotel and restaurant. The carefully prepared cuisine based on traditional dishes from the local Mediterranean diet of fish and seafood offers the most exquisite of flavours for guests' enjoyment.

Other possibilities include a visit to the lovely botanical gardens in Cap Roig or an adventure future south through the valley of Aubi. In any case, it's a day to fill the senses!

Challenge: 50km or 25km, 350m or 150m in ascent.
Villages along the way: Pals, Palafrugell, Llafranca, Calella

Cycle placidly between the sandy beaches of the Costa Brava and the green rice fields of the delta, passing an occasional windmill along the way.
